From Culinary Canvas to Artistic Adventures: A Journey of Expression

Expression takes on various forms. One of my creative passions is cooking. However, frequently, like many others, I find myself engrossed in other activities, leaving cooking as an afterthought until the pressing question of "What's for dinner?" arises. Often, I'll survey the contents of my fridge and pantry, allowing my creativity to improvise with the available ingredients. When I embark on culinary adventures, a burst of colour from assorted vegetables characterizes my dishes. While not strictly vegetarian, my affinity for vegetables knows no bounds. The picture in this blog is using traditional arborio - 'risotto rice' but lately I have experimented with cauliflower rice which is a low carb substitute for rice. I am happy to cook for family and friends with particular taste, requirements and requests.

Interestingly, my penchant for vibrant hues also extends to my artistic pursuits. The image of the water tank I mentioned in my previous blog is now available. This project was completed some time ago. During its execution, I had to time my efforts between late morning and 4pm to ensure proper paint adherence to the surface. A humorous recollection surfaces from years past when I painted the exterior window trims of my house. I recall discovering a pool of paint at the base of the final window's ledge the following day. It turns out my timing was off; the plummeting temperature interfered with the paint's application. I gleaned a valuable lesson from that experience.

My portfolio encompasses a diverse array of painted objects, including a pair of refrigerators. I intend to gradually share images of these creations. Perhaps, in due course, I might identify the ideal piece for Burt and Henri's kitchen scenes in a forthcoming book.

I extend my gratitude to Vicky and the Austin Macauley team for their work in crafting a book trailer featured on YouTube. Thank you !I hope it entertains others!
